For 30 years, we at Irritek have been supplying high-quality, high-volume water infrastructure across Australia. We offer end to end irrigation solutions and then provide superior services to manage and maintain them. For many of our customers, the pump stations and other infrastructure we provide are vital for the success of their business. If water infrastructure doesn’t work when required, it can have disastrous effects on their business and bottom line. This means that the services we provide to maintain and monitor the pump systems are an integral part of both our business, and the overall experience for our customers.
When we began using Doover over 5 years ago, the Doover system allowed us to introduce a technology platform to remotely monitor and control our products. This Doover enabled platform “Irritek Remote” allows our customers to remotely control and monitor their Irritek pump stations, water meters and channel gates, saving them vast amounts of time and money.
“Technology that would’ve taken us two years and hundreds of thousands of dollars to create ourselves, was instead ready to go straight out of the box, with no upfront cost to us”

Irritek Remote allows them to run their irrigation systems more efficiently, but more importantly to them, it is a big risk management tool. This Doover powered technology means they can:
- Ensure they can start and stop pumps when an opportunity opens, wherever they are.
- Get a text message alert and know immediately if there is a problem.
- Avoid overflowing irrigation channels or damaging infrastructure or crops.
- Have automatic and detailed records for external compliance and internal accounting.
For us, Doover has significantly improved both our value proposition, and the revenue streams available to our business. Our customers are increasingly asking to have this technology, and we want to be able to offer it. We pride ourselves on being leaders in the irrigation industry, a claim that is significantly improved by the modern capabilities Doover unlocks for our products. Moreover, the Doover technology allows us to introduce a service-based revenue stream into our business. We now have more to offer our clients on an ongoing basis, by providing them with access to the Irritek remote system – powered by Doover. As more and more customers begin to use the system, the increased service revenue will allow us to lower the cost of the initial pump setup, driving customer growth into the future.
We are particularly excited with the flexibility that Doover allows us; we can offer customised products for our customers and have the confidence that we can grow and change in the future. The use of Doover provides the exciting prospect that we can improve our customer’s experience from afar. Through Doover, improving our offering can be quick and easy, with changes made and downloaded through the Doover software allowing us to improve our product without re-entering the paddock.
We have found Doover extremely easy to integrate not just with new pump stations, but with existing infrastructure. A Doover control box can be wired into the existing set-up with ease, and the app and automated control system are available immediately. Prior to Doover we had not found a provider that could offer this solution to our business. Competitors struggled to combine the automation system with an app, whereas Doover’s computer like hardware allows the software to easily integrate with the control system, providing a cheap and effective method of controlling and monitoring the pump complex.
If we were to attempt to replicate the technology Doover has unlocked for us, it would require 2 full time engineers and take at least 12 to 18 months worth of development. But with Doover, we have no upfront costs, can add the technology in a couple of weeks, and we join a wider, established platform that is constantly evolving and improving.
